They study American literary and visual culture of the 20th and 21st centuries with a focus on myth, orality, and textuality as relates to queerness and racialized identity formation.

Dissertation Project

Their dissertation thinks through the discursive temporalities that myth offers, and how the aesthetic manipulation of myth can oppose colonial written archives and linear history in embodied, unproductive, and disorienting ways.
