About Benjamin Hoover
Education
Ben Hooveris a PhD candidate in English at Indiana University, Bloomington with degrees in Classics and Art History.
He studies late medieval and early Tudor drama, noting how reading the idiosyncrasies of literary texts within and outside formal categorizations enlivens our understanding of them.
Current Research and Projects
Specifically, his research and his dissertation examine the reception of literary models and social issues on early English stages and the spaces of reflection that early literature offers upon the most heinous forms of violence.
He will be attending the 2025 performance of the York Corpus Christi plays in Toronto as a reviewer for Early Theatre.
